About Jenny
Jenny Rollins Cockrell, LCSW, ACC is a highly skilled executive coach and licensed mental health professional with sincere passion and a proven track record for client success. She's had several successful small businesses since 1987 and opened a private practice in 2001 that was profitable in its second month. She began executive coaching in 2005, specializing in working with health and wellness professionals, executives, and business owners.
Education and Early Career
While obtaining her Writing & Literature degree (business minor) at Millsaps College, Jenny began working as a tennis instructor while competing at a top level in the U.S. She continued her career as a tennis pro while doing freelance marketing & magazine writing. With a tennis-related injury/setback, Jenny was writing for a New Orleans non-profit. When asked to fill in as an overnight counselor, she realized her natural ability and passion for working with clients and continued this work in many regional settings. Jenny pursued graduate school in social work and counseling. She completed a prestigious post-grad Fellowship at LSU Medical School in New Orleans and has had a successful career as a small business owner, med school faculty, organizational administrator and trainer, and community leader.
Her Coaching Journey
Jenny is an executive coach with a license in mental health (1997), and decades of success as a multi-business owner and leader in for-profit and non-profit organizations.
While navigating the aftermath her parents' divorce as a teenager, she developed and implemented her own whole-person health plan, and still uses parts of it today. Her career began at 19 when she founded a small, profitable community-based wellness/programming business. Throughout her journey, Jenny's emphasis has been 'people development'.
She has over 30 years of experience as a professional coach, training leader, and licensed psychotherapist.

With an MSW, L.C.S.W. (mental health license), and numerous certifications in coaching and leadership development, Jenny is known for her warm presence and savvy, spot-on insights that she shares with wit and enthusiasm.

At the peak of professional success, Hurricane Katrina destroyed her primary private practice office and most of her family, friends, and clients were greatly impacted.
This period was a pivotal moment in a shift of priorities, and essentially re-evaluating everything.
Through this major, life-changing event, Jenny pivoted to what she'd been considering for some time - professional coaching. Jenny has trained with excellent coaching and management consulting experts across the U.S. She has worked with hundreds of transitioning professionals and business owners as they reimagined their lives, goals, and careers. Through her experience and professional training, Jenny integrates high-level coaching skills to empower her clients.

Since 2010, Jenny has been coaching full-time and works with executive coaching clients worldwide. She is a certified and highly skilled coach with a unique, deep blend of mental health, business, and leadership expertise.
Volunteering
Jenny has a lifelong passion for helping where needed in the community, especially the underserved and those most vulnerable. She fondly remembers her Mom taking her at age 6 to help elderly individuals. Advocating for the environment and animals
as a young child was a regular part of life.
​While in college, Jenny began developing and offering community-based
tennis programming in parks in Mississippi. As United States Tennis Association Community Coordinator in her region and as Board President, she initiates and oversees programming and resources for underserved groups.
She has worked in fundraising for arts including the development of the Walter Anderson Museum, now a leading arts organization in her region.
In New Orleans, she developed support groups for Alzheimer's patient caregivers.
Jenny received a leadership award from the City of Austin for her efforts in Outreach for Mental Health for Hurricane Katrina evacuees.
